Berkshire Maestros Job Opportunities Berkshire Music Hub
Windsor Music Centre

Berkshire Maestros' Windsor Music Centre runs music lessons, choirs and instrumental ensembles for children and young adults in the Windsor and Maidenhead area. Our learners come from as far away as High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Ascot and Egham. Based at Dedworth Middle School in Windsor, the centre benefits from excellent facilities including several teaching rooms and a larger ensemble room, as well as a Saturday morning tuck shop.

The centre is a buzzing environment with high quality music education at its heart, providing young people with a safe and friendly environment to learn and make new friends.

To find us, please enter the Dedworth Middle School site from Smiths Lane. There is usually ample parking on site, but do please drive very slowly. The Music Centre Office is in the top right hand corner of the playground. If you are visiting during school teaching hours, please sign in at the Dedworth Middle School Reception first.

Lessons

At Windsor Music Centre we deliver lessons after school and at the weekends in a wide range of instruments and styles to suit all (subject to the availability of our teachers). We have teaching rooms of varying sizes to run the lessons in and parents can wait in our reception area if necessary.

Lessons are fun and interactive and provide children with the skills and knowledge to become excellent musicians. Sessions are tailored to individual needs and can build up to music examinations or simply focus on the enjoyment of playing. It might also be possible to hire an instrument from us if you are interested in lessons but don't own an instrument (subject to availability and our usual terms and conditions of instrument hire).

Ensembles

As well as lessons, Windsor Music Centre provides an opportunity for young musicians to join a wide variety of musical ensembles. These range from Early Years classes with Mini Maestros, through beginner bands to the most advanced ensembles in each area. Opportunities are available for string ensembles, wind ensembles, brass bands, percussion ensembles, choirs and guitar bands. Classes in music theory are available to those wanting to improve their academic music knowledge.

Ensembles provide a perfect opportunity for young musicians to enjoy playing as part of a team, improving and enhancing many areas of their learning. Their knowledge of repertoire will be extended and they will learn more about techniques and musicality.

Ensembles also enable young musicians to come together to share a joint passion and create new lasting friendships.
